HTA recently took part in this year’s Buccleuch Property Challenge, which is now in its 10th year.

The challenge takes place annually at Drumlanrig Castle on the Duke of Buccleuch’s estate in Dumfriesshire, Scotland and includes mountain biking and a running orienteering race.

The event attracts Property professionals from across the UK with over 70 teams, made up of more than 200 industry professionals.

HTA director, Nick Atkinson joined Michael O’Driscoll and Adam Heather as part of the Northumberland Estates ‘Percy Plodders’ team for their third consecutive year.

The team were silver medallists for the second time, having won silver and gold in previous years, beating over 70 other teams to the finish line. Specific challenges included a river decent, rowing, archery, mini Olympics and shooting.

This year the competition raised over £11,000 for ChildLine, the UK’s free and confidential, 24 hour helpline for children in distress or danger.

Nick Atkinson commented: “The Buccleuch Challenge is a tough test of both physical and mental endurance and we are delighted to have been medallists for the third year running.  The annual event raises money for fantastic charitable causes and we are delighted to be a part of this.”
