June proved to be a busy month for Industrial Property specialists HTA Real Estate with over half a million square feet of industrial property transacted in seven deals. The deals completed not only show HTA’s expertise in the North East Industrial market but also the benefit that a highly experienced agency team brings to the market.
Russell Taylor, Director at HTA Real Estate gave extensive property advice on two freehold acquisitions on behalf of retained clients. The first transaction was the acquisition on behalf of Templeman Retail & Vending of a 205,000 sqft warehouse complex on Nelson Way, Cramlington which was purchased from the administrators. Templeman’s will be utilising the building to bring together multiple sites they currently operate out of across the region. The second transaction was the freehold acquisition, on behalf of a private investment client, of 56,266 sqft of industrial/warehouse space at Glass House, Mill Hill, North West Industrial Estate, Peterlee. The property benefits from three 3 tonne cranes and a power supply of 2MVA, HTA have subsequently been instructed as joint agents on the property and are currently marketing the unit To Let. Russell also completed the letting of a 16,750 sqft unit at Espley Close, North Tyne Industrial Estate, Longbenton on behalf of Cable Properties to Brown Knight & Truscott who are an established printing company in the North East who already had a presence on the North Tyne Estate.
Also, during June Simon Hill, Director at HTA Real Estate was busy concluding the letting of a 60,000 sqft warehouse unit with extensive yard on Princesway, Team Valley to DHL on behalf of British Telecom. Simon also concluded the freehold sale of a 30,000 sqft warehouse unit on Tundry Way, Blaydon on behalf of Antalis to a self-storage operator who is busy converting the building.
Meanwhile Nick Atkinson, Director at HTA Real Estate was concluding the letting of Units 2 & 3 Hillthorn Business Park, Sunderland on behalf of Sunderland City Council to AESC. The two units combined extended to 148,750 sqft and will be utilised by AESC to support their existing battery plant which is currently under construction on the nearby International Advanced Manufacturing Park, Sunderland.
The total transacted space during June concluded by the Directors at HTA Real Estate totalled 518,193 sq ft and the depth and breadth of the various transactions shows the benefit of having a highly experienced team which deals purely with the industrial/warehouse sector.
