Popular Durham warehouse snapped up pre auction

AN INDUSTRIAL FACILITY AT DRUM INDUSTRIAL ESTATE WHICH WAS SCHEDULED FOR AUCTION HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY SOLD BY HTA REAL ESTATE.

The 11,000 sq.ft warehouse premises were due to be sold at auction in February with a reserve of 150,000. However, HTA Real Estate’s marketing efforts identified a number of prospective purchasers and a sale has now been agreed at a figure well above the auction reserve price.

Simon Hill, Director at HTA Real Estate said: ‘We are experiencing a strong level of demand for industrial stock of this nature and particularly freehold opportunities. We have a number of applicants actively looking for similar properties. The premises ended up going to final and best bids and we managed to agree a sale in the weeks leading up to the auction, which our client was delighted with.’

The premises are located in a prominent, visible location on Drum, which is well-established commercial estate. Other occupiers on the estate include CO-OP, Parcelforce, Batleys, Komatsu and Rettig.
