The industrial property agents were instructed on the trade counter scheme in Spring 2016, following its acquisition by investment management specialists, Kames Capital.
HTA has now secured the lettings of Units 13 and 18, with a further unit under offer. The scheme comprises 18 trade counter units on Toll Bridge Road on the south side of the River Tyne, adjacent to the A1 Western by Pass.
Unit 13, which extends to 2,352 sq.ft, has been let to commercial interiors company The Holsta Group, who are relocating from a smaller unit in Oakwellgate in Gateshead.
The Holsta Group, which provides refurbishment and fit-out services, says it is making the move to the new premises at Blaydon Trade Park to accommodate its expansion, after more than doubling its workforce over the past year.
Terry Armstrong, director at The Holsta Group says Blaydon Trade Park provides the ideal location for his 15-strong team given its highly visible location. He explains: “Our new premises at Blaydon Trade Park give us fantastic showroom and office facilities, which offer excellent accessibility for both commercial clients and the general public. The showroom enables us to demonstrate the very wide range of services we can offer thanks to our own team of skilled tradesmen.
Unit 18, which is a 3,882 sq.ft end of terrace unit has also been recently let. Local business, the Nissan 4×4 Centre, which specialises in repair works for the Nissan Navara, has signed up to a new lease on the property to help develop its business.
Russell Taylor, director at HTA Real Estate said: “Since we initiated our marketing campaign at Blaydon Trade Park we have found that the scheme is proving to be really popular with a wide range of businesses. The specification and location of the units lend themselves to a variety of potential uses and the main attraction we find is the high level of visibility and accessibility.”
