Wardley is the site of the former coal screening works situated alongside the former Leamside railway line. The Leamside line is currently disused, but could provide a strategic rail freight interchange for the North East region in the future. The site comprises mostly of open storage with a mixture of concrete, tarmac and made up ground. Fenced compounds can be created and service connections are available on site.
