HTA Real Estate has secured a number of new instructions across the region, bringing over 250,000 sqft of industrial stock to the market

The premises in Consett, Blaydon and Seaham come at a time when there is a well reported lack of good quality, larger industrial stock in the regional market.

The firm of industrial property specialists have been instructed by Metnor to market a warehouse unit at Foxcover Distribution Park in Seaham. Located close to the A19 corridor, the 61,710 sqft modern high bay distribution facility, which was built in 2007, is available to lease. The premises were formerly occupied by Mission Foods.

Northern Trust has also instructed HTA to market 88,468 sqft of warehousing and industrial space at Number One Industrial Estate in Consett. The development provides flexible leasing opportunities ranging from 8,000sqft.

The largest of the new instructions is Churchill Works in Blaydon where the firm is marketing 98,000 sqft on a rental basis. With an internal height of up to 8.4 metres, the refurbished premises offer warehousing and distribution facilities with the benefit of a loading canopy, yard and two-storey offices.

Nick Atkinson, director at HTA Real Estate said: “At a time when there is a definitive shortage of good quality large industrial properties, we are very pleased to be able to offer three instructions of this calibre. Spread across Consett, Blaydon and Seaham, they enable us to satisfy a full range of requirements across the region.

Access to the A1 and A19 corridors continues to be a key consideration in the logistics sector and we are aware of a number of active requirements.  We anticipate a strong level of interest in all three instructions.”
